First day of School

Yesterday was Alex's first day of preschool, and he was sure excited! He has a new teacher this year, and a lot of kids he doesn't know in his class. Most of the kids are going three days a week (T-Th-F), but there's at least one other kid besides Alex who is only going on Fridays. He has so much fun there!

All she kept saying was "Me go preschool". I don't think I'm ready for my baby to be in school yet, even if it is only preschool!



On a different note, we finally got the deck finished



It took 2 jugs of deck cleaner, 3 gallons of stain, and about 9-10 hours of manpower of power-washing, scrubbing, and staining, but it was worth it. The deck looks so much better now. I found the records saying that the deck was built in 1992, and there had been nothing done to it since. We learn valuable lessons from these do-it-ourselves projects, such as don't do the staining on a Sunday unless you're sure you have enough stain, or you'll be making a mad dash to the hardware store 5 minutes before they close to buy more. :)
