He was nice enough to share with his sister, as well.
The day after his birthday, we had a party with a few of his friends from school. It was a typical boy party. They ran around outside for a while playing army men, and then had some Wii time. Then pizza, cake, and presents. All in all, it was a good party, but boy were James and I tuckered out afterwards!
On the pregnancy front, I have been diagnosed as diabetic. But since it's so early in the pregnancy, they don't know whether it's gestational diabetes or undetected type 2 diabetes. So I'm undergoing more tests for that, as well as visiting a nutritionist and getting my glucometer. I had gestational with Alex, and James and I remember much of what we learned then, so we're trying to put it into practice now. It's difficult, I'll admit. And while I'm hoping that this truly is gestational and it will go away after the baby is born, we're realizing that it might not, and so we're making lifestyle changes. Maybe this will be the best thing for both of us, because we both need to lose some weight, and by eating better and walking more hopefully it will help.
And on the Bella-Boo front, here's a cute shot of her playing dress-up:
Quite the outfit, isn't it?
