Merry Christmas to All!

James had christmas eve off for the first time since we've moved here, so we were really excited. Then on the 23rd Bella came down with the flu (in the middle of the night, of course), and we've been so busy dealing with her that I feel like christmas almost passed us by! She's feeling better today, though. We did get the house decorated a little bit this season:

The garland has lights on it, and there were supposed to be icicle lights around the porch, but when James tried to plug them in, he blew a fuse. (Darn wiring in these old houses, anyways!) You can't see it, but there are also a bunch of coffee filter snowflakes in the windows. :)

Christmas eve we didn't make it to church because of Bella, so instead we stayed home and spent some time together. We also opened up a few presents. It's a tradition that Alex and Bella each get a new pair of pajamas on Christmas Eve to wear to bed and wait for Santa. Bella also opened up a Care Bear, and Alex got a tool set. Unfortunately, Bella got sick shortly after going to bed, so she didn't get to wear her pink bunny jammies for very long, but she was okay with that. James got a pair of slippers, and I got a new comforter for my bed and a pretty diamond bracelet from James.

All in all, christmas eve went pretty well, and hopefully christmas day goes well too!
