To interpret, that's a LeapFrog Tag Reader, a LeapFrog School Tag Reader, and 14 books. Wow! That's over $300 of stuff laying on my living room floor! So how did I get it?Last month a bunch of the book blogs that I follow got together and held what they called a book carnival...a TON of blogs were giving away stuff, and they listed them all on one blog, so you could just go down the list and see what blogs were giving which things away. The host of the carnival paired up with LeapFrog to give away 1 LeapFrog Tag Reader and 5 games to one person, and the LeapFrog School Tag Reader and more books to the library of choice of the winner!
The fact that I'm on the library board and our local library is scheduled to open in September is quite a coincidence! I'm very excited about winning this, even if it means I'm going to have to have my picture in the paper for it. (I've been in the paper 3 or 4 times since I've moved here, and my friends all tease me about it!)
We let Alex and Bella each choose 2 to keep, even though Bella's not quite big enough to use it yet. Alex chose The Little Engine that Could, and Cars: Tractor Tipping. Bella chose Miss Spider's Tea Party and Dora Goes to School. And then I chose to keep Diego's Underwater Adventure.
Next week we are going on vacation to MI to see my in-laws, so this couldn't have come at a more perfect time. I'm going to get online and download the book info (the pen can hold up to 5 books at a time) into the pen, and then we'll break it out on the 12 hour car ride. Then the only problem will be the fighting over who gets to play with it!
