That would be 9 - yes, 9 - cookbooks that I rescued from a garage sale today. Now most of you know that I frequent the library because I just can't afford to buy books. When they're only a quarter each, however, I think I can manage. Yep, twenty-five cents each, so just over two dollars for 9 new-looking cookbooks! I even picked up 2 vegetable and 1 vegetarian cookbooks, so I can figure out what to do with the slight overflow of zucchini I have this year. I am totally thrilled with my cheapness right now!
Next step, get hubby to fix my shelves so I can find room for them.
So sad-looking, isn't it? The shelf collapsed a few weeks ago, and hubby just hasn't gotten around to fixing it yet. I think it needs more reinforcement than those tiny little pegs you get with the shelves.
One of the best parts is that the garage sale I got these from was a fundraiser for a local Girl Scout troop. The proceeds were being donated to 2 local animal rescue groups, which is a huge bonus for me. I heard they raised over $400. Way to go, girlies!
