I'm Blessed!

I'm almost late, but there's too many ways in which I have been blessed this week to miss out on my friend Gretchen's I'm Blessed post.  To read more or to participate, click here.

I am blessed that my husband's surgery went okay today.  It was just a small thing, but they had to put him under to do it.  In 14 years together, I have never seen my husband under anesthesia before.  It's something I don't want to see again.  He comes out of it very rough.  But all is well now, and for that I'm blessed.

My neighbors helped out with the kids again.  These are the same neighbors that came down to the house at 3 am last year and stayed with A and B while I went to the hospital to have C.  They took B and C all morning for me so that I could stay with James at the hospital.  They are fantastic!

We're blessed to have great benefits.  Because of having the baby in the final quarter of last year, our deductible was met for this year.  That means that James' surgery costed us $0.  Yes, that's right.  $0.  And A needed an eye exam last week because he failed the one at school.  We opted to get new lenses and frames, and found out that we get them at cost because of his employer's plan.  They're still pricey, but not as bad as the ones that he's wearing now (that he had for 10 months and broke twice already).  Because the exams are free, we're taking B for an eye exam next week.  I don't think she needs glasses yet, but with my eyesight so bad, you never know.

Last week I finally cashed in all my swagbucks and bought a camera/microphone for our laptop.  It clips on top.  I was finally able to Skype with my sister in TX and my parents in WY!  I loved it, but not nearly as much as the kids did.  They were tickled pink to be able to see the people that we were talking to.  We're blessed to have the family to talk to and the ability to Skype with them.

There's so many more ways that I have been blessed this week.  How has your week been?
