Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday hosted by MckMama.  This is a weekly meme to decribe incidents or things that obviously I or my children would NEVER do.  For example:

I would never tell my children to not even think about eating the brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts for breakfast.  That would be selfish.  It wouldn't be fair to them to make them choose between strawberry or smores pop tarts when I have my own box to myself.

When there were no socks in Bella's drawer last week, I did not giver her two different-colored socks to wear.  Not Me! And when hubby asked why her socks didn't match, I didn't imply that she dressed herself.  That would be like telling a little fib, and I wouldn't do that!

After catching Alex playing with our nearly-new laptop, I did not tell him that if he did it again, I would throw EVERY SINGLE lego of his into the garbage.  That would be over-reacting, something I never, ever do.  And knowing that my children copycat each other, did not tell Bella that if I caught her playing with it, I would take all her baby dolls away.  My children's happiness means way more to me than my own sanity at being connected to other adults and the outside world in general.

And finally (If you're a Minnesota Vikings fan, stop reading right now!), I did not secretly cheer for the Saints to win last night.  After all, after many, many years of being conditioned to DESPISE Brett Favre, of course I was overjoyed to be cheering for him this year.  And just because the Saints have never been to the Superbowl was no reason to cheer for them.  Then again, technically we are a Detroit Lions household, so even if we cheered against the Vikings, I think everyone would understand.
