Winter wonderland

Many people I know have been posting pictures of the beautiful trees lately, and I just can't help but follow the trend.

There's just something almost magical about the frost clinging to the trees.

My favorite tree for this to happen to is the crabapple tree, because of the contrast of colors.

Even though I don't care for the below 0 temps, I can't imagine living in an area that doesn't get snow. Or 4 distinct seasons for that matter. Each one is special in its own way. I'm already looking forward to spring, when everything starts greening up again, and I can start planting. Summer is lots of camping and picnics and swimming. Fall is gorgeous colors. And then there's winter. I think winter is the most unique season of all. My kids think of it as a time to eat.

At least they know not to eat the yellow snow!
