Mother's Day

Yes, I did post about Mother's Day coming early this year here, but when mother's day finally did arrive, James and the kids got me another gift.  They got me flowers.

It's become a tradition to go pick out flowers on mother's day for my whiskey barrels out front.  Since it's still rather chilly here in the beginning of May, our choices are rather limited.  It's usually a mixture of pansies, dusty miller, and alyssum, since they all can take the cold.

Then, they get planted.

Each child got to plant their own whiskey barrels.  Don't ask what's going to happen when C gets old enough...maybe I'll need another flower bed or two for him to plant!
