Wednesday we went to the fair for the county we used to live in. They had a lot of great deomstrations and activities for the kids, but we all agreed that our favorite part was the fancy dancers. The dancers were from tribes in Iowa and South Dakota, and they were awesome!
At the end of the show, they invited all of the kids up and taught them how to do a grass dance. Alex had a lot of fun, but he takes after me...two left feet! That's him, right in the middle with the blue shirt on.
While Alex was learning to dance, Bella had her first balloon episode. She was holding it near the ground, and it must have touched something pokey, because it popped right in her hands. She had a pretty big meltdown over it. Luckily, the music for the dancers was so loud that the people around us could hardly hear her. We got her to stop crying by promising to go see the ponies again before we left. That girl has horses on her brain! I remember being horse-crazy when I was around 8 or 9 years old, but Bella's not even 2 yet!
