Our garden is finally starting to ripen. The kids (and I) have really been enjoying watching things grow, and are now having fun picking everything. We've already gotten a few cucumbers, squash, and zucchini. I even got one little yellow tomato today off my Yellow Pear plant. Our favorite, though, are the beans. We planted green, wax, and purple beans all together, and as you can see by the picture of Bella, we get enough for a meal almost every day. Bella doesn't really like beans, raw or cooked, but Alex will eat them right off the vine. I have to keep an eye on him, because if he's helping us pick, I can guarantee that none are making it in the container from him! :)Below is a picture of mama Bella. She spent over 1/2 hour tonight wiping baby's "poopy butt". She has both feet tucked up with one hand, just like we do to her. She also tries to put a diaper on them, but it doesn't work so well. Her favorite babies are the twins that she got for christmas from Nana and Papa, as well as another one that looks just like the twins, but that we bought on vacation when we - gasp! - left her baby at a friend's house. She sleeps with one every naptime and bedtime, and many times they go for car rides with us too. (Although after leaving that baby at our friend's house, we now make sure that baby stays in the car when we go somewhere!)
